SEPTA helps Environment: Free Event at Free Library of Philadelphia
This Monday November 24th at 6:45 p.m. The Free Library of Philadelphia hosts What Septa is Doing to Help the Environment.
Last Spring SEPTA unveiled its “Go Green GO Septa campaign” encouraging Philadelphia and residents of the surrounding areas to choose public transportation. This past May, SEPTA was honored with the 2008 Environmental Leadership Award by Greater Valley Forge Management Association.
Learn more about the measures SEPTA has taken to go green by attending Monday’s event. SEPTA’s General Manager, Joseph Casey, will discuss the new hybrid buses, increased ridership and other issues affecting global warming and air quality.
The Free Library of Philadelphia is located at 19th & Vine St (the event will be held in the 4th Floor Skyline Room.)
