Phone books… What are we the Flintstones? (Quick Tip)

These days, when you need to look up the phone number of a restaurant, business, old friend etc. you typically turn to your computer or blackberry. Googling a number is quick & easy- no flipping through pages, no hefty phone book.

So, save some  paper . Get your home or business address off the yellow book  delivery list.  Just go to yellow book goes green and you’re off!

Cleaner air: Americans can look forward to 5 more months

According to a new study conducted by Brigham Young University and Harvard School of Public Health, the average life expectancy in 51 U.S. cities increased nearly 3 years over recent decades. 5 months of that increase is due to cleaner air.

Go Green with the Philadelphia EAGLES

Philly is clearly psyched for the NFC championship game this Sunday. Personally, I’ll be eaglesgogreenwatching, wearing my lucky jersey, drinking out of my lucky glass and cheering HARD!

Another thing fans should be pleased about is the team’s green efforts. The eagles were the first professional sports organization to launch an environmental initiative. In 2003, the Eagles started the Go Green campaign.

Obama's Inauguration – Green Events Near & Far

Many Americans are gearing up for a trip to DC with the intention or hope to catch president-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration.

From an environmental perspective, January 20th couldn’t come sooner. I was appalled after reading a Rolling Stone article regarding Bush’s midnight regulations – the majority of these last minute regs (including the hit on the Endangered Species Act) are atrocities to the environment, leaving many to question how big of a mess Obama will need to clean up.
