Jenkintown Green Living Fest this Sunday
Head to Jenkintown this Sunday, April 19th, for the Green Living Fest. Held from 12-4 in the Jenkintown town square, it’s an ideal way to kick start your Earth Week celebration (April 19-25th.)
The event is sponsored by Green Jenkintown, the EAC for the Borough of Jenkintown. Come and support their first green fest – Their goal is to make it annual.
Some of the cool activities include: Septa Hybrid Bus Tour, Composting and Rain Barrel Displays, Green Cleaning Recipes, Planting Table, Free Bike Safety Inspections by Wheel Wright, Briar Bush Nature Center Table, Demonstrations & Kids Activities.
Scheduled events lineup:
12:00-1:00 pm: Jazz Music by The Chance Trio
1:00-1:45 pm: Yoga by Shakti Yoga Studio
2:00-3:00 pm : Puppet Show by Rhinoceros Toys
3:30-4:00 pm :Reading of the Lorax
4:00-5:45 pm: Environmental Movie at the HiWay Theatre
*Don’t forget to bring your REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE to fill-up
*If you live in the area, walk or ride your bike to the fest. Rain date is Sunday, April 26th.
