    This also keeps your darks and colors brighter. Warm water makes clothes fade quickly!

    This is true. The heating element of your washer gobbles up a lot of energy. You can pre-treat stained clothes and then just use the cold water cycle of your laundry. This way, you can save up a lot on energy.
