Introducing the Fall 2014 Interns

As our internship program continues, you’ll see a couple of new faces ’round these parts.   Each new face brings something new to the table, and we’re SO proud to introduce our new interns for Fall 2014!

We’ll let them tell you about themselves:

Christine Boylan

I am currently a Senior and Communications Major at Saint Joseph’s University. This past summer, I found my love for helping others through an internship with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
Through my experience with LLS, I began to realize the impact that I have as an individual within society. Through the little changes that we make in our lives, we are able to impact others in an even bigger way. In fact, my life motto is from words by Ghandi: “Be the change you want to see in the world”, because I have realized that it all stars with you.”
At SJU, I’m a very active member of my community: as a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi and on the SJU Women’s Rugby team. No matter what it is, I’m continuously looking for ways to become involved and leave a positive footprint in my community.
Jessica Rutkowski
Jessica Rutkowski

Hi, my name’s Jessica and I have a passion for traveling, fitness, and food sustainability (and food in general)!  Recently, I spent a semester abroad in Florence, experiencing how Europe is conscious and devoted to sustainability.  It’s really encouraged me to do my part to help our Earth, which is how I ended up at Green Philly Blog!

I’m currently a senior at Saint Joseph’s University, majoring in Communications & Digital Media. In the long term, I plan to pursue a career where I can continue traveling internationally.
