In the mood for a little weekend retail therapy? One of my favorite eco-friendly clothing companies, Ecolissa, has new spring merchandise you’ll love. And, you don’t have to break the bank… additional markdowns have just been made on their sale page. Posted by Beth
Calling all brides-to-be, friends of brides and ANYONE who appreciates eye-candy in the form of beautiful dresses.
You must check out Terra Amore – a company specializing in sustainable wedding gowns. The line was founded by Jessica Iverson. Iverson was inspired by her green consience and the idea of working with cruelty free fabrics. (Check out their glorious dresses after the jump!)
Are you looking for some new jewelry & bored with your current pieces?
Rather than buying new or cheap jewelry, explore recycling options for gold you own! Or, try inquiring with local artisans who can rebuild it into something new. Websites like greenKarat offer recycling options as well as new (to you) pieces!
Did you purchase a new winter coat this season? An upgrade for you is the perfect opportunity to make use of your old duds.
One Warm Coat is an organization dedicated to helping others by taking your old coats, jackets, sweaters and mittens of your hands (pun intended) and donating them to people in need.
This blurb on their website caught my attention:
Online shopping is one of my guilty pleasures. Sometimes it gets me into trouble, and sometimes it’s oh so worth it. (I’m sure many can relate!) I’m smiling this cyber Monday because of the new environmentally conscious website Pure Citizen.
Pure Citizen offers 24 hour sales on organic merchandise. They partner with green designers to bring consumers daily deals on quality merchandise. Their selection includes handbags, apparel, accessories, even underwear.

Herrero was 1 of 10 eco-friendly designers that showed her collection of sustainable fashions event at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea committed to ethically sound, sustainable fashion. Her collection introduced an “Urban Tropical” look, inspired by Salsa musicians and artists from her roots in Puerto Rico. Auralis’s emphasis is designing only using organic, sustainable, natural & recycled fabrics such as
Are you sick of going to parties or bars seeing a girl or guy in the same outfit as you? Fear not eco-
conscientious fashionistas, there’s a clothing line in town to prevent that problem.
Nicole Rae Styer designs a line of clothes for people who like to be unique or stand out. Her inspiration comes from vintage styles. She creates one-of-a-kind dresses, tank tops, shirts, purses, intimate apparel and home decor for women, as well as kids clothing and men’s shirts. She takes pride in ensuring each piece of her line is unique and pays careful attention to detail, just two of the reasons she had her work shown at the prestigous Fashion Week run-way show last year.
The desire to
be green and trendy can cause a dilemma for today’s modern Green Girls. Can you have both? Looking for an Eco-friendly clothing line here in Philadelphia without restricting yourself to Vintage shops?
Kate D’Arcy’s line, TOGGERY, is one answer for Philly’s green & fashion-savvy young women. This collection is great because the line is designed for women who want to blend social and economic consciousness with trendy clothes. Each piece of Toggery is comprised of 100% organic and sustainable fabrics, including organic cotton, bamboo and modal.
