Theatre Exile presents the Philadelphia premiere of politically-charged “The Invisible Hand” from May 12 – June 5, 2016 (various times) at Studio X (1340 S. 13th Street). Nick, an American Banker in Pakistan, is kidnapped and held for ransom by an Islamic militant group. Realizing he has no way out, he takes matters into his own hands and befriends one of his captors. Thus begins a journey full of questionable alliances and moral bargaining during a fight for survival, leaving audiences searching for answers even after the play is over. Written by Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar, directed by Matthew Pfeiffer, and starring Ian Merrill Peakes and Maboud Ebramhimzadeh. Tickets are $10-40 at www.theatreexile.org or call (215) 218-4022.
