Petal Pedal

Join the Philadelphia Orchard Project in partnership with the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia for Petal Pedal – a scenic bike tour though Fairmount Park stopping by 4 of POP’s 61 community orchards!

Beginning by the Art Museum, the Bicycle Coalition will lead a leisurely ride to the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center’s Food Forest supported by the Penn State Master Gardener Program, then Historic Strawberry and Woodford Mansion orchards, and ending at SHARE Food Program’s orchard with rest and refreshments before riding back to the museum. Experience the city in a way you haven’t before – with brief tours at each orchard site discussing the history of the space, exploring principles of food forestry, and with the chance to savor flavors of the orchards!

Snacks and refreshments will be provided, thanks to the Philadelphia Orchard Project!

The ride will cover approximately 12 miles roundtrip, with some hills.
