The Philly Swish Clothing Swap: A Sustainable Fun Shopping Event

Looking for a new way to a contribute to a sustainable ?  ? ConsIder buying pre-owned or swapping before buying new clothing and accessories. Fashion is a massive source of pollution. The sector’s CO2 emissions are expected to increase by more than 60 percent to nearly 2.8 billion tons per year by 2030, according to a recent report by the Global Fashion Agenda and The Boston Consulting Group.
Come to the 2nd edition of Philly’s biggest clothing swap on June 27th at 6pm at the TLA. Help spread the word to your friends and coworkers by sharing the event page, the more people the bigger our “store”. Last Swish we had over 150 people attend and I hope we can get even more this time!

How it works:

$10 cash only. All ages. Bar will be open for 21 and up.

Bring nice, clean, presentable clothes that are lurking unloved in your closet swap them for a new wardrobe!

HOW IT WORKS:
• Pick up to 10 items in your closet to swap. We will have racks available for Women’s, Men’s, Petite & Plus clothing, shoes, and accessories in like new condition (no stains, rips, missing buttons, etc.). Please bring clothing on hangers if you can. You’ll get one token for each item you bring. Designer items ($100 retail price & up) get two tokens per item.
• 6pm-7pm: Drop off your items, get your tokens. Items will be sorted and organized into categories on racks and tables for easier shopping.
• 7pm: Swish “store” officially opens and you can start shopping! Use your tokens to “buy” new items and go home with a whole new wardrobe!

All leftover items will be donated to Circle Thrift
