Andrew Sharp joining the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability

Philadelphia’s sustainability leaders are making some changes.

Philadelphia Director of Sustainability Katherine Gajewski announced yesterday in an email that Andrew Sharp is joining the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability (MOS) as Deputy Director for Policy.

Andrew Sharp – New Role in Mayor’s Office of Sustainability

Sharp will lead policy development, legislative affairs, and engagement efforts for MOS. Sharp was previously Director of Outreach for nonprofit PennFuture.

He’ll officially start in the Mayor’s Office on February 17th.

We’re psyched for this update – Sharp’s background at PennFuture will hopefully push positive

Other shuffles in the MOS department? Sarah Wu is taking on a new title as Deputy Director for Planning, overseeing Greenworks reporting, climate planning, and the Philadelphia Food Policy Advisory Council.  Rich Freeh, project manager, currently oversees implementation of the building energy benchmarking program but will expand his work on the climate adaptation plan, greenhouse gas inventory, and 2015 Annual Report.
