SBN Changes: Jamie Gauthier Moves On & ED Opening

2016 brought on many changes, but another one specifically for the sustainability community: Sustainable Business Network (SBN) Executive Director Jamie Gauthier is trading nonprofits.

Highlights of Gauthier’s time at SBN include the Good Economy 2020, which will shape SBN’s actions over the next four years; the Good Economy Challenge which engaged the 2015 primary election to influence the early actions of our new mayor and council leaders; and win legislative victories like the expansion of the Sustainable Business Tax Credit program. Her leadership also saw a thriving industry partnership for local green stormwater infrastructure businesses through GSI Partners.

According to an email to the SBN community, Gauthier will become Senior Director of Public Partnerships at (my old stomping grounds) the Fairmount Park Conservancy. She’ll focus on helping the Fairmount Park Conservancy to leverage citywide initiatives, including Rebuild, a planned $700M of much-needed capital investment in our city’s system of parks, recreation centers, and libraries.

Sustainable Business Network: Seeking Next Executive Director

So what’s next for SBN?

In the immediate future, Anna Shipp will assume the role of Interim Executive Director of SBN beginning January 2nd. Shipp currently serves as Project Manager for the GSI Partners and has been with an SBN veteran for four years.

The search for SBN’s next ED is on. According to a release, the committee is seeking:

“a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader who will build and expand existing programs and partnerships. The candidate must grasp a larger picture while skillfully managing details and establishing a nurturing and productive working environment for our high-capacity staff team. The person in this role will serve as chief fundraiser, overseeing the financial and administrative management of our organization. Finally, this leader will be the public face of SBN, and must embody and champion our collective values and principles.”
