Happy Friday! We’re psyched that our friends from the Fairmount Park Conservancy kicked the Oval back off last evening and has a bonanza weekend planned (see below) full of events.

Weekend Events for July 17 – 19, 2015:

• The Oval Kickoff Weekend:  From award-winning food trucks, to summer arts and live music, to a beer garden kicking off tonight, Eakins Oval is opening with a bang! All weekend, Eakins Oval (Ben Franklin Parkway), see Oval’s website for a full list of events.
• City Fit Girls July Bike Ride: Open to all, they’ll be riding along Kelly Drive to the East Falls Bridge and up MLK Drive. After the ride, we’ll head to a local cafe for coffee and snacks. Saturday, July 18th at 8:45 AM; meet at Art Museum steps, Facebook RSVP.
• Guided Trail Run in Fairmount Park:Enjoy a trail run through the nooks and crannies of the Belmont Plateau trails with a 3-mile route option and a 6-mile route option. Free for Fairmount Park Conservancy members, $10 for non-members. Sunday,  July 19th at 9 AM. More info & meeting spot.
• Shady Grove Music Festival: A music festival a little south (of the PA) border in DE this weekend.  Saturday, July 18th, The Shady Grove in Arden, 2126 The HWY, Arden, DE 19810; Tickets ($15).
• Summer Market: The Summer Market brings the best of Summer together under one roof! Join the Impact Hub for a massive Summer Market in a 27,000 sq ft historic cathedral to check out the best of what Philadelphia has to offer. Saturday, July 18th from 1 – 4 PM; 1227 N 4th St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19122; Facebook RSVP.
