This weekend is set to be gorgeous, and Philly’s set with several events to get you outdoors. Eat your way through Manayunk, spend lots of time at the Schuylkill Center with their jam-packed Saturday or Bike & drink beer (responsibly) with the Bike Coalition!

Best Philly Events for Weekend of September 27-28:

  • The Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival allows you to dominate food trucks, a beer garden and more on Main Street. Get ready to Fall into Food! Sunday, September 28, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Main Street from Green Lane to Shurs Lane, Manayunk, Pay as you go. Deets.
  • Bikes & Beers: Ride 14 miles around the city and stop along the way for beer samples! Not a bar crawl, the event will encourage cyclists to get involved with the Bike Coalition, Too! Sunday, Sept 28, various start times, Register & deets.
  • University of Nature offers a one day conference with in-depth learning for experienced and beginner nature enthusiasts alike at the Schuylkill Center with guided hikes, workshops, and lectures on topics ranging from botany, birds, and butterflies, to environmental art and more. Saturday, Sept 27, 10 AM – 4 PM. Register.
  • Process & Progress: A LandLab Gallery Show: The Schuylkill Center hosts a LandLab artist gallery show featuring info about their artistic process, past work from the artists that reveals the trajectory of their practice in environmental art, and completed LandLab work. Saturday, September 27, 4 – 6 pm, Free, More info.
  • Native Plant Sale & Fall Bird Seed: Stock up and replenish your garden with native berry trees, shrubs, and fall-blooming wildflowers—all perfect for migrating birds and insects.
