Want the best of the tropics with a twist of mad-artist-cutting-off-his-ear?

The Philadelphia Flower Show’s escape to “Hawaii: Islands of Aloha” is far off (March 4-11), but tempting us with early sales combined with the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Van Gogh Up Close collaboration.

Depending on your price range and what you want, the packages differ. Here’s a breakdown of how you can get the most bang for your buck (assuming Adult tickets, non-members for both):

• Philadelphia Flower Show Ticket: $28 (adults)
• Van Gogh Exhibit Ticket:  $25 (Adults)
• $50 (+$3.50 Service Fee) – “Van Gogh Up Close” & Flower Show during public hours. Get them at the Art Museum,  fee). Tickets may be purchased at the Museum, on the Art Museum website or by calling 215-235-SHOW.
• $54 if you buy a flower show ticket THEN use your 10% discount code for Van Gogh ($28 Flower Show + Discounted Van Gogh $22.50 + $3.50 Service Fee) To get this, buy the Flower Show Ticket Online then follow the link in your confirmation email. (Note: Plan ahead, save $4)
• $111.50 ($108 + $3.50 SF) on March 6-9: Save 15% off of a timed Van Gogh btwn 11 AM – 5 PM, plus an Early Morning Tour of Flower Show (8-10 AM). Get tickets AT the museum, museum website OR calling “SHOW” number.
•  $128.50 ($125 + 3.50 SF) on Monday March 5: Start with the 2 hour tour at the Flower Show (8-10 AM) with an optional Flower-arranging demo @ 9:30 AM. Then, head to the Art Museum (typically closed Mondays) for a special “Van Gogh” viewing, complete with docents throughout the exhibit to answer questions. Buy tickets at the museum, museum website or SHOW #.
