The Philly Farm & Food Fest returned to the Philadelphia Convention Center on Sunday, April 13th.

The collaboration between PASA & Fair Food expanded from the expo hall into the Atrium to showcase more vendors that ever before.

Since this was my third time I’ve attended this annual affair, I decided to peruse the newest, local vendors.

Don’t keep on buying the generic Peanut butter from Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. PB & Jams is created right in West Philly with a variety of blends including almond, peanut, cashew, maple walnut & more. The Hot or Not Peanut blend had the perfect kick to it, which I happily picked up a jar to add to my home collection.

It’s always great to see additional insights of the vendors, whether it’s photos from the farms or brochures about how they create the products. This year, the Beekeeper Guild stepped up their usual display by bringing a live bee colony to the expo floor.

Looking for a sweet treat to enjoy with coffee or bring to a family dinner? Market Day Canele is one of my favorite vendors. Don’t let these little french pastry’s appearances fool you for any ordinary dessert – the soft custard filling is absolutely a unique & tasty treat.

Stonekeep Meadery brings you honey wine fresh from Boyertown, PA. The last time I visited a meadery was in Boulder, CO on Spring Break in 2006. My love affair with mead needed a revival.

Looking for new plants? Everything from starter plants to succulent bowls were displayed to take to a lovely home.
