Philly Spring Cleanup Day 2013: Volunteer & Join!

Philly Spring Cleanup Day 2013Who’s ready to Keep Up the Sweep Up again?

The Streets Department’s 6th Annual Philly Spring Cleanup Day will be return on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 9 AM – 2 PM. 2012 efforts achieved over 350 projects, 12,000 volunteers and 1 million pounds of trash. Can we try to top it for 2013?

We’re happy to return to our hosting site of 2012, which is 8th & Poplar in Northern Liberties. We’re co-hosting with Logan Welde from the Clean Air Council (and plastic bag reduction partner) as well as Jessica Renard, organizer of the Philadelphia Environmental Meetup group. Here’s the details to join the cleaning fun:

  • When: April 13, 2013 – 9 AM – 2 PM.
  • Where: 8th & Poplar
  • Wear: Outdoor/yard work clothes
  • Bring: Yourself, gloves (if you have them) and a smile.
  • RSVP: Email greenphillyblog@gmail (dot) com to confirm your attendance. Please state if you can attend the entire time or what your availability is.

We will have light refreshments on hand.

Thank you! We’re looking forward to another successful cleanup in 2013.
