Check out the Trunk Show hosted by Philadelphia’s City Paper this Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at TLA (334 South St.)
Over 50 local vendors will be in attendance – including some of Philadelphia’s hottest boutiques, designers and craftspeople. There will be an array of clothing, jewelry, house wares, cosmetics, etc.

Check your local recycling program for what number plastics it recycles. (Plastic products are numbered 1-7. Philly accepts #1 or #2.)
When out to buy your next shampoo bottle or dish-soap, choose products you can toss in the recycle bin instead of the trash can. More & more cosmetic companies, like Aveeno and Aveda, are moving towards enviro-friendly products.

Reduce the amount of waste you create. When purchasing products, try buying the biggest size you’ll be able to use. Typically you save $ on the larger sizes, reduce your runs to the grocery store and bulk sizes use less packaging.
If you enjoy juice/sodas, choose bigger bottles and pour into into your reusable cups instead of buying individual, 4 or 6 packs.
