    Leftover Green CSA Juice

leftover green juiceThe best time of spring and fall in the CSA season are all the fresh kale, cabbage, collards and other leafy greens you receive from your CSA. Yet getting veggies week after week tends to allow some of them to get a little withered after a few days.

Rather than forcing yourself to eat all the greens that aren’t yet ‘bad’, make them into a delicious juice! I’ve been perfecting this one over the past few months.

    Leftover Green CSA Juice Recipe

    Ingredients
    • ½ grapefruit
    • 1 apple
    • 1 bunch of leftover greens – I used kale, cabbage & a little tot soi
    • 2 teaspoons of honey
    • 8 ounces of water

    Recipe

Blend all ingredients in blender or food processor until smooth. Makes about 2 smoothies.

Adjust the ingredients as you prefer.

Hey! Came across your blog while searching for juicing clubs/groups in the Philadelphia area. Any suggestions?

Hey Megan! Meetup is always a great place to find like-minded friends and groups. Also, Ryan’s Juice Club, Sip-N-Glo juicery and a few other places may be good to drop in and inquire about any upcoming events. Good luck, and let us know if you come across anything!
