Film Screening: Racial Inequity in America Today

Directed by celebrated filmmaker Ava Duvernay, the Academy Award Nominated Documentary, 13TH, takes an unflinching look at mass incarceration in the United States and posits that slavery never ended in America, it merely mutated.

Come for a conversation about race in the U.S., including the role of individuals, corporations, and other institutions in advancing racial equity. We will watch the award winning film, 13th, a movie about racism in the U.S. criminal justice system. Following the film screening will be a moderated panel followed by small group discussions.
