Veganuary + Pizza = Heaven

While you’re debating what to stick in your mouth, we have another idea for you: VEGANuary.

Philly’s own Humane League is challenging you to go vegan in January. They’re partnering up with Blackbird Pizzeria to host a Meatless Monday run, with two remaining on January 23rd and 30th. (Their first run on January 9th received goody bags with snacks, pins, stickers and coupons.)

Get a FREE Pizza: Veganuary Philly Challenge

Here’s some major incentive for you: If you run the next two Mondays at Blackbird (January23/30th) and two weeks at Honeygrow Center City with the Humane League, you’ll get a FREE Pizza gift card on February 13th! What a way to bring in Valentine’s day than with vegan pizza. (A few veganuarys who participated all 4 weeks at Blackbird will be eligible for their free pizza on 1/30.)

So even if you’re hopping on the Veganuary bandwagon now, you can make new vegan friends, run, and treat yourself to Blackbird as a reward. If you haven’t had Blackbird, it’s delicious.

This movement isn’t purely local. Veganuary started in the UK and has spread to the US. The point of the month is emphasizing that going vegan is one of the most effective things you can do to help the environment, which we agree.
