Indego, Philly’s new bike share which debuted on April 23^rd, is on track to hit 50,000 rides only one month in according to an email they sent yesterday.

With tactics to incentivize shorter rides ($15 memberships offer unlimited 1 hour rides, then $4 / hour afterwards and lack of bike locks, perhaps the shorter trips makes sense for the majority of people riding.

Although I was unsure if I wanted to hop on Indego’s board, I’ve taken quite a few rides getting to and from the train station, home from another destination and to the Art Star Craft Bazaar.
