Philadelphia Navy Yard Summer Market & Tour on August 21st!

Update: The event was changed to August 21 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Navy Yard Summer MarketThe weather is warm and what a better time to meet up with green comrades?

The Philadelphia Environmental Meetup is hosting the Philadelphia Navy Yard Summer Market and Follow-Up tour.

As they say on the meetup website:

As you know, the Philadelphia Navy Yard has been a site for innovating environmental standards and an opportunity to showcase and spread community improvement. The effort has been leading by example and are open for public visitation Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Outside of these hours, access is limited to tenants, their employees and guests. All visitors should enter via the main gate on Broad Street. Visitors are welcome to explore unrestricted areas of The Navy Yard campus, but the U.S. Navy strictly prohibits going aboard docked ships.

Philadelphia Navy Yard Summer Market

On July 31st, its Building 543 is hosting a summer market as described up top. We can kickstart or followup attendance there with a tour of the sustainable corporate campus and what has gone into building the nationally recognized center of excellence in renewable power and energy research, education, and commercialization. Since it is a weekday, but there are many members who reside within Philly, we can work out areas for some to meet up around lunch time or right after work and a quick-check version of key things sights and takeaways.
